A New Albany man who served three years in prison for molesting a 13-year-old girl was arrested today in Clark County on new charges of molesting a 12-year-old girl.

John C. Wilburn, 65, is accused of grabbing the 12-year-old’s breast while in his pickup truck at Green Tree Mall in October.

Wilburn pleaded guilty in 2003 in Floyd Superior Court to child molesting, possession of child pornography, vicarious sexual gratification and being a habitual offender. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison but was released in 2006.

In the new case Wilburn is charged with being a repeat sexual offender and a habitual offender in addition to the child molesting count. He is expected to have an initial appearance in Clark Circuit Court next week.
