Dayton police arrested a registered sex offender after he allegedly attacked and raped a Dayton woman.
According to reports, Nathaniel Johnson, 33, was arrested last week on Xenia Avenue. Friday, a grand jury indicted him on charges of rape, kidnapping, felonious assault and aggravated robbery.
According to the state sex offender registry website, Johnson was convicted of rape in 2004. He was released from prison in May.
The incident happened in the area of Noel Court when a woman told police she was walking in an alley. The woman claimed Johnson grabbed her, threw her on the ground, stomped on her and raped her.
Johnson is a Tier III sex offender, which means he must register with the sheriff's office every 90 days for the rest of his life.
The suspect will be in court on the new charges next week.
