William Oertel - Charged 11 counts Child Pornography

Ramos also found pictures of child bondage on the computer.

A man turned himself into police Thursday, Jan. 31 and is being charged with 11 counts of possession of child pornography, said Stephanie Slater, police spokeswoman.

After turning his computer over to the Best Buy electronics store for repairs, William Oertel, 52, was found to be in possession of pictures of children less than the legal age fully naked in sexually explicit positions.

The Geek Squad computer repair personnel at Best Buy contacted the police and Boynton Beach Detective Charles Ramos contacted Oertel Jan. 28.

On the same day, Oertel gave Ramos a taped confession.

Ramos also found pictures of child bondage on the computer.

Oertel said he had gotten the pictures off the Internet and that he had less than 25 pictures of minors ages 8 and 9.

Oertel also said he got the pictures through chat rooms called "parenting" in which other parents would share and send child pornography to each other.

He is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail.
