Police arrested a 27-year-old man Tuesday after he was caught in the bedroom of a 14-year-old Bedford girl.
Eric Gahgen was discovered sleeping in the teen’s bed by the girl’s mother, who then called 911. The Pennsylvania man told police his brother drove him to Texas on Sunday and dropped him off at the girl’s home. The teen girl said she met Gahgen online last year and he traveled here to meet her.
Deputy Chief Les Hawkins of the Bedford Police Department said the suspect was in the house for at least a day.
“From what I understood he scaled the back patio wall to get into the second story bedroom and he was there from Sunday night until the mom found him Monday evening.” Hawkins told the media.
Gaghen is charged with sexual assault of a child.
