A 67-year-old Muskegon-area man has been charged with possessing child pornography.
William Derrick Bell, who listed addresses in Muskegon and Norton Shores, was arraigned Oct. 2 before 60th District Judge Maria Ladas Hoopes, who set bail at $60,000 cash or surety.
Bell is charged with three counts of possessing child sexually abusive material, a felony. The alleged incidents were from 2004-2005 and were reported to the Muskegon County Sheriff's Department.
He waived preliminary examination Oct. 9 and has been bound over to 14th Circuit Court for trial.
Court records show Bell has prior convictions for sexuallly fondling a child, being a felon in possession of a firearm and using a computer to commit a crime.
