An Augusta teenager accused of sexually assaulting two younger relatives pleaded guilty Friday to reduced charges.
After hearing of the difficulty in bringing the case to trial, the Richmond County Superior Court judge accepted a plea deal for Marquis B. Williams, 17. Mr. Williams was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by 10 years on probation for two counts of child molestation.
The May assaults weren't Mr. Williams' first. In April 2004, he was charged with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. Those charges were transferred to juvenile court.
