Castillo was arrested Monday night in Denver for Internet luring of a child, a class 4 felony.
According to the arrest affidavit, Castillo called himself "Andycolorado." During the conversation with a police officer posing as an underage child in an online chat room, Castillo asked the officer if she liked older guys and the response was "I like guys who don't bs."
He also asked the child how old she was and the age was provided to Castillo (under the age of 15), which legally makes the child a minor.
Castillo also asked the child if she could come to his home. He asked for a phone number and used that number later. He also sent a picture of himself and provided his real name which was matched by investigators to his on-file mug shot and driver's license.
Two years ago, Castillo was arrested for criminal attempted sexual assault on a child after a highly-publicized multi-agency law enforcement sting.
The sting focused on online chat rooms where potential predators would talk about having sex with whom they thought were minor children. Instead, they were undercover law enforcement officers.
When 14 of the men on the chat lines showed up at a home to meet whom they thought would be an underage girl, they were confronted by SWAT team members and arrested.
Andrew Castillo was one of those men. He was on parole when he was arrested Monday night for the new sex charge. He is also a registered sex offender.
Because of Castillo's parole status, if he is found guilty he could be sentenced to anywhere from four to 12 years.
Bond was set at $100,000, even though Castillo is not eligible because he violated parole.
