A convicted sex offender was sentenced Friday to prison for molesting a 13-year-old girl -- five years after molesting another girl at his wife's day care facility.
Thomas S. Brulotte, 45, will serve a minimum of eight and a half years to life in prison. If he gets out, he'll have to register as a sex offender and remain in community custody for sexually molesting the girl.
"It's a good decision based on his record and our concern for community safety," said Yakima County deputy prosecutor Patti Powers.
Brulotte was previously convicted of molesting a 9-year-old girl in 2002.
At that time, his wife provided day care to several children, including the victim.
