James Henry Wilson - Repeat Sex Offender - BUSTED!

A Sebastian County sex offender is behind bars tonight, accused of having child pornography on a phone and sending it to a young girl.

On august 27, Fort Smith Police received a complaint that an underage girl had been getting disturbing texts.

But what's more disturbing is who police say they came from.

"A juvenile female had received some inappropriate text messaging, and maybe some photographs from a relative," said Sgt. Levi Risley with the Fort Smith Police Department.
Police say that relative is 38-year-old James Henry Wilson, a level three sex offender that had been convicted of sexual solicitation of a child. Investigators from the police department and sheriff's office searched Wilson's home Friday, and say he gave them a phone with photos of nude children and explicit video on it.
"We have seized computers, laptops, cell phones, thumb drives, other media that's used in computers that we believe contain additional child pornography," said Sgt. Risley.
According to the police report, Wilson told authorities he had a sickness and must have those photos to look at so he wouldn't commit the acts himself.
Investigators arrested Wilson in suspicion of possessing and sending child pornography, and say they're working to determine if anyone else was harmed by his actions.
"We may have other victims out there, because of some of the photos we have, that we don't know about. My concern now is to make sure we find those kids and get them some help if there are in fact other kids out there that have gone through this."
Wilson is currently being held without bond at the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center. Authorities say if he's released on bond it will likely be with conditions such as not being around children, including his own.
