Jason Hites - Repeat Sex Offender - Charged with rape of 8 year old

State police have charged a Butler County man with raping a child from December 2006 through July.

The victim, an 8-year-old girl, told authorities that Jason Hites, 27, of Harrisville sexually assaulted her multiple times in Mercer and Butler counties, state police said.

Hites is a registered sex offender.

State police charged Hites with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault and other offenses.

Hites is being held in the Mercer County Jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
