REPEAT SEX OFFENDER
Danielle Arline Reed, 28, of the first block of Wolf’s Bridge Road, Carlisle, was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated indecent assault of a child, a first-degree felony.
According to police and court documents, police seized a computer Reed used from a residence in the 200 block of Lincoln Street on Dec. 9, 2007, after Cumberland County Children and Youth received an anonymous tip about Reed, who was registered as a sex offender after being convicted of possessing child pornography in 2004. The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office found erotic photographs of a child on the computer.
The child, a 6-year-old girl, told a Child and Youth worker Reed had sexually abused her on multiple occasions. The incidents happened in the 200 block of Lincoln Street after Reed moved into the area on July 7, 2006, police said.
Reed, who also faces first-degree misdemeanor charges of indecent assault of a child under 13 and corruption of minors, is free on $10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 27 before District Judge Jessica Brewbaker.
