Edgardo Vilas - Camp School Teacher GUILTY - Child Porn

A teacher at a county juvenile probation camp school pleaded guilty yesterday to a charge of possessing child pornography.

Edgardo Vilas, 42, of Descanso admitted in court that his computer contained more than 600 images of minors, some as young as 6, engaged in sexually explicit acts.

Vilas taught at Rancho del Campo, a county-run detention camp in Campo for juvenile offenders. He faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison at a sentencing set for May 2.

Agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement learned of Vilas in November when they linked his e-mail address with a subscription to a Web site that allowed users to view and download child pornography, according to court records
