John Edward Grasberger, 60, admitted that in June 2006 his computer contained between 10 to 150 images of children engaged in sexual acts, according to court records.
He faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison at a hearing set for May 27. Grasberger also agreed to resign from the California Bar Association, which would prevent him from practicing law in the state, according to court records.
He joined the bar association in 1979, according to its Web site.
