Brian David Ormsby - Repeat Sex Offender - Child Predator

In 1987 he was convicted for raping a 5-year-old boy. He was sentenced to 41 months and was required to register as a sex offender.

A registered sex offender is charged with sex crimes after investigators say he took advantage of a mentally challenged 17-year-old boy.
Forty-five-year old Brian David Ormsby of Bothell faces charges of attempted rape, forcible compulsion and unlawful imprisonment. Investigators say he hired the 17-year-old to help work on computers, but claim it was all a ruse to gain the boy's trust.
In January, investigators say Ormsby took the teen to a motel in Everett and touched him inappropriately. Another time they say he took victim to another motel where he tried to rape him.

Ormsby pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday.
In 1987 he was convicted for raping a 5-year-old boy. He was sentenced to 41 months and was required to register as a sex offender.
In addition to the current charges, Ormsby is also under investigation in Mason County for allegedly posing as a child talent agent. Bothell police cited him in February for selling tobacco to minors.

It's alleged Ormsby was befriending teens at a local skate park and selling them cigarettes. It's suspected he may have been trying to gain their trust in order to victimize them.

Sean Goodwin says Ormsby stuck out like a sore thumb at the Bothell skate park, where teens go to hang out.

"After school he'd just come here and usually just sit here waiting for people," Goodwin said.

"He was actually pretty creepy to me," teen Beau Trim said. "Willing to do whatever, buy alcohol for kids, buy cigarettes, take them to restaurants like to McDonalds to get food."

Ormsby is being held on $100,000 bail. Anyone with more information about him should call police.
