A registered sex offender is facing new charges in Vermont.
Police say Stephen Griggs, 57, of Chelsea, admits he fondled a 12-year-old girl on multiple occasions last year.
Griggs faces charges of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child. He has two prior convictions for lewd and lascivious conduct with a child. And according to Vermont's Sex Offender registry, Griggs is compliant with his sex offender treatment. He will be arraigned Monday.
