Charles L. Brinson - Repeat Sex Offender - Charged with molesting two little boys


A city man accused of sexually abusing two young boys pleaded not guilty in City Court today.

Charles L. Brinson, 51, a registered sex offender, was charged yesterday with one count of first-degree criminal sexual act and five counts of first-degree sexual abuse, both felonies, according to City Court records. He is also charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
Brinson is accused of having sexual contact multiple times with an 8-year-old boy and a 5-year-old boy in Brinson’s residence in northeast Rochester on May 25, 2009. Brinson is also accused of forcing the boys to watch pornography.
Further details of the incident were not released.

In City Court today, Judge Stephen T. Miller issued an order of protection for both boys.

Brinson was remanded to the Monroe County Jail today Friday June 19 in lieu of $35,000 cash bail or $90,000 bond. He’s slated to return to court for his preliminary hearing at 11 a.m. in Wednesday June 24.
